Acer 6592G, New battery not charging

    Hi folks

Got a new battery for my Acer 6592G laptop. Battery is a TM00752 model 14.8v 4800mAh which matches exactly the original.

Under Windows 7, battery reports as 63% available, plugged, charging. But there is actually no charge in it at all. It stays at that level (63%) and never increases.

If I pull the mains AC or try to start on battery it's totally dead, nothing. I have tried re-installing Win 7 battery ACPI drivers, re-installed Win7 completely. Battery is still reported as above.

Can anyone offer any advice please?
