Touch buttons working, without touch

Hey all. I have a HP Pavillion Dv6000
    http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/hp_pavilion_dv6000_new_notebook.html

The laptop tends to get *very* hot when left on my lap or bed as opposed to a flat surface where the fans can work properly, and when that happens the touch sensitive buttons "work". Specifically the + and - volume buttons, meaning when I'm usually watching a DVD or something on Youtube I've to stop and let it cool down for a while, which is really irritating.

I tried going into Run, then "msconfig" and turning off the "Hp Quickplay Buttons" under Startup, and that worked fine last night. Turned off the laptop and came back on today, and it's happened again.

    What should I do?

Get a bit of some rigid board like hardboard or plywood for when you want to use it on your bed.

That model number seems synonymous with trouble.

AFAIK that'll have an nVidia chip in it, let it get to hot and it'll bake itself.

Laptops arent designed to be used on soft surfaces, if you are going to do it get a board/tray/other as above.
