3rd level grant letter of residency, where do i get it?

Hi,

Im in GMIT in galway, I have completed a 2 year (fulltime) level 6 (failte ireland) course there for the past 2 years - by passing this course it got me directly into year 2 of a Level 7 HETAC course (fulltime).

Im Irish and have lived in Ireland all my life, im 20.

I applied to the VEC for a third level grant during August, I rang today beginning of october to find out what is happening, why it is so slow? I need the money because of rent etc & I had to pay the €1500 registration fees to the college aswell which I hope to get back!?

They told me they got my application and that it is been processed - fair enough.

But then she said that they needed proof of residency in Ireland for the past number of years - i think 4?

I was in college for two of them - I gave them a letter from the college with my application! and took one year out after the Leaving cert.. that makes it up to the current date!

Wat can I get to proove this??? I wasnt working so dont have payslips or bank a/c??? im a student!

How long more will I have to wait?

PLEASE HELP ITS SO ANNOYING!

You could submit a copy of your leaving cert if you received it w/i the last five years. that'll be a proof of residency for some of the time leading up to that. And any letters from college with your address on should be proof for other years.

any letters at all from social welfare, tax, college, anything at all
