    Hello,
its very hard to get info on older deutz models i find.

Wondering does anyoe have any info on these two:

    1) the 6.30 deutz which is meant to be a good machine. Any pros/cons on this one?
    2) the 6.50 i heard that the transmission gave a lot of trouble on these.
    6.50 - turboed
    6.30 - non turbo

    Thanks.

A neighbour has an old 6.30, passed by yesterday and there was a 3 leg sub-soiler on her.

Very reliable tractor, has had a couple of clutches, air cooled engine is bombproof. Only downside is the brakes, they are a dry drum, bit like a fordson major! V expensive to fix/ get the bits for, would be another bad point. Also the linkage for the gearstick can be a disaster area, depends on who was driving it though.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
