    Hi all,

I have been experiencing this for quite a while and it seems to be getting worse or maybe I am begining to become more aware of it...

I have this constant feeling that I'm not physically here... like the things around me are happening passively, even if I'm taking part or participating in them. I have also noticed that I am not able to process some conversations and really have to force myself to listen at times.

This feeling becomes less intense when I take off my glasses... Can anyone tell me what I'm experiencing? I'm really worried as I'm not sure what is going on. Thanks.

    Sounds like an odd problem...

I think OP, to be safe, you should visit your GP. You wouldn't know what might be going on inside you, and if you consider it to be bad and something that's really affecting you, I think it's time you paid a trip to your GP and explained to them what you're experiencing.

Might be oversimplifying it a little but it sounds like you could have the wrong prescription in your glasses. You know when you try someone else's on and the world goes a bit trippy? Maybe get your eyes checked out?

    I second this.

Also to add to this you said you find it difficult to process some conversations and have to really concentrate: we actually do quite a bit of lip reading while talking to another person without even realising it. This is especially true in background noise and if you do have the wrong prescription you won't be able to do this as well...
