    Hello Folks,

putting down laminate an have already carpet in all the rooms. Some with runbber carpet underlay, some without. I was going to buy insulation but now think whats wrong with using what I have. Surely it would help to keep in a certain amount of heat and is better that just laying it on the 3 mm foam layer.
My question is would carpet or carpet underlay be better, an would there be any negatives or adverse reasons against this?

    Thanks a lot,

    John

I'd say carpet underlay would give the floor too much bounce

+1 you would end up with the floor cracking.
