just wondering are these brands any good... i no Swissarms is a sister company or something of SigS

Swiss Arms & Sig Sauer are the same company, and manufacture Real Steel weapons and accessories. In airsoft, Cybergun have exclusive licence to replicate their products. Some of these are manufactured in house, but a lot are rebranded. It really depends on what specific product you're after.

Hobby Airsoft are Ireland's Cybergun distributor, so any questions you have they should be able to answer.

I think I read a post that you're looking at the SA1 sniper rifle? I can tell you that it does not come very highly recommended...it is the same rifle as the ASG Steyr SSG PII. The main bolt action rifles that come recommended are:
Well L96 (Rebranded as the Mauser SR by Cybergun)
TM VSR 10
JG Bar 10

The Bar 10 is quite rare these days, and it's main attraction as the more economical VSR (it's a clone of the VSR) is not as true now. If you don't mind me asking, will this be your first Airsoft gun?

i tryed one in point blank in carlow and it seemed nice.. i said id ask here first

and yes it is my first time.bad time of year to start but atleast i hope to have my weapon and some of my kit by next summer to go full swing
