Long Term Residential Care for Alcoholics

    Hi there

My sister is an alcoholic She is almost at death's door sometimes, then we get her into residential treament, and she recovers very quickly. To our surprise her liver is not damaged.
When she returns home, she lives with her husband (her daughter has moved out). After two or three days she goes completely back on the alcohol. This has happened too many times to mention. We would love to move her to a temporary/permanent house to get her accustomed to a routine, however there does not seem to be any long term residential care. There only seems to be places for short term treatment for a month at most. Does anyone know of any suitable residential care? She is in her 60's, and when not drinking she is very able, however she is not a candidate for a nursing home.

    Thanks
    Lagos
