Can you get an NCT without having insurance and tax?

    Afternoon guys,

    Question for ye, Can a car go for an NCT when it has no insurance and tax on it?

    Just got my car up and running again to sell but not getting insured on it or getting it taxed but will have to get the NCT!

    So how are you going to get it to the NCT test center with no tax or insurance?

    BTW I think you are asked to bring your insurance cert if I remember correctly.

    Yes they wont check these. Just be careful how you get it from the test centre and back.

    its fine they dont check them, i just NCT'd my car with out of date tax, and on old insurance disc on it.

    the has been off the road and IS insured, just had'nt recieved the new disc, but no questions asked at the test centre.

    Absolutely. Trailer it there, and you'll have no problems.
