How many years can you get a third level training grant for?

    Hi just wondering if anyone can help me out, I did first year in a course in a different college and got a grant for that,but I failed that course so so couldnt go on, and I started a course in GMIT, Ive received a grant for the last 2 years, and I have just started third year and received my registration pack and it says I have to pay the 1500 student services fee, just wondering am I not elegible for the grant now or what?Because I have received it for the last 3 years?Is there a maximum duration u can receive it for or what?would be very grateful for any replies :)

    If you failed the course due to a medical condition you may be entitled to a repeat(even if it is a different course) if you can provide proper medical evedence. However if you failed on your own back you will most likely be on your own.

    Have you applied for a grant?

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
