Best sets/podcasts

I know there's loads of 'best of' threads on here already. But I thought we could add a set/podcast one too.

I remember Zascar saying he'd kinda fallen out of love with music recently and a few peeps on here suggested listening to some albums as a way to get back into it. This is kind of the same idea - music's not all about single tracks, and some of the best sets often contain tracks that certainly wouldn't make it into any 'best of' thread but just fit perfectly in a set at a given time.

I find Little White Earbuds and RA podcasts keep me going. Oh and the mix of the day in the feed on RA.

As far as albums go, I think the two Shed ones are just brilliant. Maybe it's the pernickity sound engineer in me, but the sound off them on vinyl is just incredible. Stripped down but full. Crystal clear but textured. Full of thump but still listenable in every environment.

Also, I still get a huge amount of enjoyment out of Burial's two albums.

yeah really enjoying this mix. I actually think Sigha is criminally under-rated.

For anyone interested you should check out RA107 podcast by Monsieur Garnier, one of the best mixes I've ever heard. It's archived on RA now, but easily available on Rapidshare. Unfortunately unable to provide a linky as in work now shhhhhhhhh

N-joy, German radio station, fantastic mixes, even if it is a little hard to navigate due to the whole language barrier...

Boris Dlugosh had some great sets up on there, if thay're not archived they are scattered around the web!!!

Good idea for a thread mate...my own personal favourites over the years are as follows. Forgive my lack of technical jargon, I'm a lover not a mixer!

All time favourite is....

Armin & Ferry - Godkitchen 2003 @ The Point
Brilliantly built up set and when Sunspot kicks in towards the end, I still get that tingle down the back my neck!

Other favourites...

Armin - Live at Trance Energy 2006
Really chilled out at the start but again, as Armin does builds up superbly and some absolutely quality tracks in there

Eddie Halliwell - Live at Lush - 11.2005
No really into his newer stuff as I think he is a sell out but this was Eddie at his best I reckon, really upbeat and sucks you in from the start...couple of decent bootlegs in there too. He has another Mixmag set which was raved about which had Jetlag and a couple of belters but always preferred this.

Alex Kidd - AK Promo
It you want 37 mins of Hardhouse at its best then look no further, in my opinion one of the best HH promos I have ever listened to.

Kutksi - Heavy User MixTape
Hard House again and 2 hours of excellent mixing/scratching along with a flawless setlist in my opinion...with Go Away (Dr Willis & Scott) bang slap in the middle...probably my favourite HH track of all time.

Heatbeat - November Promo mix
Again just excellent set list, loads of energy, pretty good mixing and a good solid mix.

I listen to a lot of Podcasts mainly with a Dutch influence - Armin, Menno De Jong, Maarten De Jong and Tiesto which are good for giving airtime to a lot of up and coming DJ's which I like. But I always go back to the above if i ever want to rekindle the love of days gone by!
