I see UTV HD has launched on Virgin Media in Northern Ireland.

This should be an obvious one for UPC to try and get their hands on, considering they already relay UTV and are desperate for more HD channels - especially an exclusive that is not likely to appear on the Sky EPG.

Im not sure if its the same History HD that Sky broadcast, but on my tv its definately higher definition than channel 217, the quality is a lot better, and its broadcasting in 720p/1080i. Strange tho that they dont have the HD logo.

Yes, that's why I've queried it with UPC, friends of mine with SKY HD say that there History channel has the HD logo so that would mean UPC are not broadcasting History in HD eventhough they list it as HD.

The History Channel HD has the HD logo on for some programs, only. This is not the fault of UPC.

Please see reply on History Channel SD thread. http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056044419

The only reason I posted on this thread was to state that they need to get there current HD channels in order before they add more.
