Anybody here got experience of the Giro Di Lombardia? I will be on Lake Como that weekend and I am looking for tips on the best place to view the race, the possibility of getting to two viewing points, times that one should be in place to get a good position. Basically any tips that will make the day more enjoyable.
    Thanks in advance !

Agree. Seems to have lost its prestige in the last 20 years. I think a lot of the top riders are just too knackered after such a full and demanding season. In the past all the big guns liked to have this on their palmares. It is of course still one of the 5 Monuments in cycling.

    Predictions?

I know Dan Martin hopes to do well and has targeted this race instead of going to Australia. Gilbert will be back to defend his title and of course Cunego will be trying for his 4th victory. I think Frank Schleck might just be reaching his peak form and he should do well as the course will suit him. Roche definitely has the talent to win this someday but not sure how he is going after last Sunday. Hope Eurosport is covering it as it is a great classic.

    Enjoy the race PGN
