That's not a 3G modem, and not for use on a 3G connection. Do you have a 3G or DSL connection? If you have DSL, then there is no APN or 3G settings. If you have 3G, then you're using the wrong modem.

no it is for 3g and i already connected it through vodafone usb modem

Well, that's a DSL modem and not a 3G modem, so I don't know what you're doing. There are no 3G settings on it.

It is adsl router with 3g support through plugging usb modem in it and choose weather to go online through adsl or 3g

Really? I've had a look online and can find no mention of it supporting a 3G modem. Anyway, the settings for Vodafone 3G can be found in the 3G FAQ. You'll need to consult the manual to find out where you set them.

Surely it's just a USB socket to network a Printer. Not for a 3G dongle?

    No, he's correct.

I remember seeing a Vodafone router/modem with USB failover.
Pointless if you ask me... but anyway!

Yes. There ARE DSL modems and ethernet routers with such a feature. But far more where the USB port is for a printer.

I can't find a manual. So he may be correct. There are however instructions online on how to use the USB port to print.

Both my routers can use USB Modems. OpenWRT based ethernet only Routers.

I don't use the 3G option on my Bewan, so the settings are still as they were when I received the modem.

    Settings looks like:
    Login: vodafone
    Password: ********
    APN: hs.vodafone.ie
    Dial Number: *99***1#

While the password isn't exposed, given that it has the same number of characters as as the word 'vodafone' it's a good bet.

Are you sure you have clicked on 'enabled'? The fields are read-only until you do so. Also, don't use chrome, which doesn't like the Bewan/vodafone admin interface too much.

    Dear Bassem

i do have the bewan vodafone router you just mentioned and i hope i could help you with this
you need to sign to th router web interface with those credentials
    username: vodanet
    password: vfinternet1

and then at the top left of page you'll find two tabs, end-user and adminstrator, after you enter the admin tab you'll be asked for other credentials, just use the same above and then at the left menu you'll find router menu, enter it and then enter internet and at the end you'll find APN settings and you can edit them, i hope this might help
btw: if you found an update for this router firmware plz let me know @ <email address removed>

    BR
