I am looking at the statistics on the 02 broadband icon thing and it says 43mb downloaded and 25 uploaded...? is this right? I mean can you find it under these 'statistics' on the 02 broadband icon thingy? is the info correct?

Or is the another way to access this info on the 02 website?

    Thanks in advance..

You'll find your actual usage statistics in your O2Online account. Ignore what the software says.

Yes this is what you do. Once logged in go to the My account section and you can view your usage there.

Hi TalktoO2. In the last 3 nights I have tried to register by entering my mobile number which it accepts but I never receive the verification code to set up my online account. Does it usually take a huge length of time to receive it?

I am having the exact same problem. I am waiting to receive the verification code after 24 hours which it will be tonight. I have tried a couple of times but still havent received the code. I'm really worried about how much I have used as I use Skype quite a bit :o

Looking for a bit of help on this.

I got an 02 broadband account today and with regards to registering the account I was wondering what the story is.

If I put in the mobile number from the sim card it tells me that an SMS will be sent to the mobile number, but it's in the usb stick, so I don't think that is going to work...

Also when I was asked for a mobile number when buying the broadband in the shop, I gave a meteor network number, does that matter at all? Didn't cross my mind at all at the time.

    Thanks.

The message will be sent to the sim in the USB, when connecting to the network, you will see across the top of the o2 broadband menu you will see 4 headings, Connection, Statistics, Messages and phonebook. supposedly it should be sent to your messages on that menu. I sent away for it, didn't get it. Went to the 02 shop he did it and sent away for it and got nothing. Now I'm waiting for him to call me back about it. i'll let you know what happens with mine.

Thanks a million 02 Daryl. I now have the verification code and can check my usage. I presume my 'Units remaining this month' is what I have left to spend right :P

Also when does the 'month' start?? Ie. from the start of October or from when I first bought the 'dongle'?

Billing dates are set by O2, not by the month and not by when you bought it. You should be able to figure it out from the info on your account. It's also on your bill.

hmm, I am using the 02 Mobile Broadband with the 10GB cap.

My first bill was 'billed' from the 4th October till the 4th of November and I only used less than 3GB out of 10GB.

But Now I have just looked onto my account and I have a 'bill' for €10.64.

    What is this for?

It is stated as a Total Usage Charge of €8.79 plus the vat. to bring it up to €10.64...

Sounds like they're billing you wrongly.

Yeah, Mine has to be paid by the 29th of November. I am going to email them now about it and I'll get back to you about it, after they reply.

i got billed a bit extra on my first bill as well, and they said that it was for the 2/3 days for the billing period to begin even though i hadn't used it at all in that period. i got billed €20.56 for april and may & the 2/3 days. i pay for the next month in advance i think

Im on the student one too but I got mt first bill for €15 only a week after getting it. Perhaps the official rep posting here could help us out with that query.

Also, would any of you know if going on google earth / street view is counted as downloading?

everything you do on your browser is counted as downloading. going on boards, checking email, google maps all counts. if google earth is allowed access to the internet to update it's maps, it's downloading

Agh, here's me thinking its just streaming media / downloading files etc.

Im guessing google earth would be very taxing on the downloads so
