Anyone around my age,,, where you do buy your clothes?

I used to go to Zara all the time, but was in there the other day and felt clothes were just too young for me... had a panic moment, coz don't want to start going to Pamela Scotts yet....

    any tips please???

I was going to suggest Zara :p Are you looking for any particular clothes? Day, night, casual, jeans etc. Oasis have nice stuff in at the moment.
My (very stylish) aunty is the same age as you and she gets most of her bits in Zara, nice tops from French Connection and always has a good pair of bootleg jeans in a dark, plain blue wash.

How about Coast and Karen Millen? They usually have clothes to cover all ages. Oasis, too, but I'm not that gone on their stuff at the moment.

Reiss or House of Fraser seem to have lovely clothes for slightly older if you have the moola! Sometimes Wallis do nice wrap dresses etc - some of their stuff is quite mammyish though.

I don't think you should mentally exclude yourself from any shops on the high street unless you don't like their style of clothes, not on the grounds of their being too 'young' for you. There are always clothes that don't suit anyone over the age of 21, but don't let yourself be put off from shopping in certain places just because they carry that kind of stuff. Highstreet retailers normally have a range of clothes to appeal to a variety of ages, so even if you're not that taken on some of the stuff, don't let that dishearten you. 37 is most definitely not the age for throwing in the towel!
In terms of shops, I like most of the suggestions above. I also like H&M, though much of the Divided range is really not worth looking at. I like River Island for knits and blouses, Topshop for jeans and Zara in general. I used to work in River Island and honestly, for every tiny young thing buying a spandex dress there were more women your age and older buying jeans, boots, knits, whatever.
So do try not to be self-conscious!!!

I agree with silverspoon, don't limit yourself by where you think you should be shopping. My Mom is 50 and shops everywhere, Penneys, Awear, Dunnes, Next, Pamela Scott, TK Maxx, M&S, Debenhams, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, a lot of the same shops as me actually :)

Don't pick shops by what age you think you need to be to shop in them, pick shops by your own style, what you like to wear.

As a 36 year old I agree with the above. Much more important to dress appropriately & well for your figure than your age imo.

I totally agree with silverspoon and spadina! Definitely don’t think at 37 you can’t shop in certain shops becsue they are too young for you! Come on woman you aren’t on the pension yet!
While places like river island, Miss Selfridge and lipsy might be seen as ‘young’ you can still go in and find some fab pieces, like tops, jackets and jeans! For more everyday stuff I’d recommend topshop, penny’s, H&M, warehouse and actually NEXT who normally I wouldn’t have touched with a ten foot barge poll but they actually have come on in major leaps and bounds in the chic department as have whistles. I could go on all day!

Mod Edit: Fixed your font for ya. If you have to Cut&Paste then do so from 'Notepad' as that leaves the font in a nice workable format. :)
