punto speedo sensor sheared!!

    i guys recently wrote in about having a problem with the speedo in my fiat punto, turns out when i took out the speedo sensor that this is definetly the fault, the plastic spindle type thing has sheared apart and seems some also has somewhat fused together from heat, but problem is since it sheared some has remained in the chamber to the gear box is there any possible way of getting this out now???

    Is it actually gone into the gearbox? If it is and your arsed to get it out the gearbox will have to be ripped apart. but then again its a peice of plastic it might not be bad...

    well see the problem seems to be the new one wont fit in because of the piece not allowing it to fit in fully.
