Applying For Full License

    Hi

    I'm trying to apply for a Full License for friend but wouldn't you know it's proving difficult so any help would be much appreciated..he's got a provisinal license that expired in July 2006 but he wants to apply for Full License but when I enter it into rsa.ie it say's no record found???

    I want to apply online for his Full License but does he need to hold a valid Provisional License or Learner Permit now???

    Sorry meant to say Driving Test not Driving License but I take it he still needs to re-apply for his learner's permit before he can apply for test? Sorry for being a bit thick but these things always confuse me!

    Yep you cannot apply for a driving test without a valid learner's permit.

    Think the new rules state you need to have a valid LP for 6 months before you can apply for test also.

    Leaner and provisional go hand in hand both the same they say I have recently put in for mine and yes you need a valid license 15 euro two passport fotos signed on the back make sure you do that and be back to you in five working days.

    He will have to get a new learner permit. BUT THE SIX MONTH RULE DOES NOT APPLY. That would only be the case if he had not held a licence in the last 5 years. Make sure he or you are putting in the correct number. People often mix up the driver number and the stock number. If nothing still shows up. Contact the RSA. You may need to apply on the paper form as opposed to online or email a copy of the licence.
