I wondered can anyone give me some advice on Florida accomodation. We are a group of 7 adults travelling to Florida for a fortnight at the end of October.
We need accomodation when we are there....I have priced Hotels and they are cheap but we wanted to see if we could save even more money by staying in an apartment or villa together. Most Villa's are situated outside of Orlando but we are keen to stay in and around International Drive for convenience. Alot of the Theme Parks have accomodation which we have noticed....
Trying to make sense of all the options but hav'nt a clue where to start help????

Most of the villas etc are out by kissimmee however the one place I do remember seeing on I Drive recently was the Sheraton Vistana Village. Think they do 2 bedroom villas. They are further south on I drive, down past sea world but are on the i-ride trolley route. Most of the hotels in the resorts will be more expensive than staying on I Drive. It all depends on whether you will be using a car or relying on public transport.

These are in a lovely area. Also, across the road is Floridays Resort and The Fountains - both with 2 & 3 bed condos. I'd recommend both.

I-drive is so cheap and most of the hotels offer shuttles to the parks esp Universal. The I-Ride also goes up and down the I-drive all day.

I have been to Orlando 3 times; twice I stayed on I-drive with no car and once in a villa in Kissimee with a car. I much prefer the I-drive, closer to bars and restraunts and its only between 5-10 dollars to get a taxi back from Universal City Walk..

Depending on what you are looking for, I reckon the I-drive hotel option would actually work out cheaper!

You will need a rental car for villa, if that's not a problem then you can get villas at a great price. Plenty of good value hotels on IDrive (south end of I Drive is much nicer and has some lovely good value restaurants).
