There is a handball alley on the south campus behind Logic. In fact there are 2, one outdoor 60x30, and one indoor 40x20, though the front wall in the outdoor isn't really usable having been damaged by use as a striking wall by hurlers, and plaster being damaged/removed as a result. Keys for the indoor one are arranged with the conference centre beside Callan Hall.

The measurements of the alley are larger than a squash court, about 8 feet longer, and slightly wider, as far as I recall, but it should be the exact same size as a racquetball court.

I never knew there was an indoor court just metres from my office. Not that I'll ever use it. But I may some time use the information to barter for chocolate.

Hi, do you have to be a student or ex to use the handball alley?
If not do you know who to contact regarding bookings?

Any info would be a great help, Cheers!

I know that students get to use it for free, but a friend of mine went to book it as alumni, and couldn't. Whether it was that he couldn't book it at all, or would just have had to pay, I'm not sure. Anyway, the Conference and Accommodation Centre should be able to help you out or advise you, as that is who I have booked it through in the past.

there's 2 squash courts in North Kildare Rugby Club, about 5mins out the road towards Kilcock.

20e for the court for an hour for non members.
think it's about 150 a year to become a member.

Hi, I'm new to Maynooth and I'm looking to take back up handball having played quite a bit when I was younger. Any people of similar background willing to play in the alley in the University?
