RIS Handguard for l85

Hi, I have a STAR L85A2 and really want one of those RIS handguards the british are sporting around afghan.

Doesnt anyone know if an airsoft version exists yet??

don't think so man, the RS ones have only appeared over the last year or so so it'll prob be a whlile.

Wouldn't mind one myself, makes the 'ol SA80 look good with an ACOG

Ya I figured that.. hopefully one will come out soon! I have a Susat on mine it took me a while to come around to the idea of a acog on a SA80 but im startin to really like it.. ill have to get a rail conversion to fit one though

you get the top rail RIS rails for the SA80 from ehobby, if you want to get ahead of yourself and get the ACOG, there was a rumour of the handguard a few months ago.

Ya it would probably be best to wait and see if the handguard is coming out for sure.. the acog only really looks good with ris handguard.. cheers for the link! do you have an l85?

i don't but as i said if the RIS kit comes out i think its a good looking rifle, normally not too keen on it though

Ya its one of the love it or hate it rifles.. was also considering the ugl on it but it weighs a tonne with it on! Is this tony from eirsoft by any chance?

As said there was a rumour that realsword was making a ris for the l85 ( no info on if it was for the star/area or ics version) but nothing ever came of it, it would not suprise me if ics bring on out as they have just released the carbine and are normally very good with accessorys

ya ICS released the new version abs handguard too.. all i can do is wait and see so!

Apparently a Vltor CAS-v rail for an m4 will fit on an L85 with some modification to the rail.
