Well half the country are living in poverty so it's no surprise really.
Also they're devaluing their currency on a weekly basis so the dollar will keep dropping in value, they're screwed.

Yeah have you seen the prices you can get for hotels there at the moment, will be heading over hopefully next month to do my bit for the Vegas casinos:p

Just had a few friends come back from a week over there. Can't remember the exact price but they got a great package deal. I paid more to stay at a hotel for 5 days than it cost for their flights and hotel. Granted i was at the Venetian and they stayed in Circus Circus. But still.

I had 6 nights over there just before xmas last year - flights & accommodation & travel insurance came to €499 . I hadn't planned on going at all but when my few friends told me that's all they were paying i had it booked in no time, fantastic deal.

Place is bananas but i must say it was fairly quiet when we were there. There was one massive Hotel/Casino that had ceased building completely opposite the Wynn, think it was called the Echelon. There was also a massive, massive construction job going on beside the Bellagio, cant remember exactly but i think a cab driver told us that when it opened it would cater for 12,000 jobs, whether that has opened since i don't know.
