    Hi all,
I'm starting the IADT Part-time animation portfolio course this Saturday and only just received the materials list on Friday.
They want 2 man-made objects (preferably machinery and no ornaments)and 2 organic to work on but I'm stumped as to what to use. I really need something interesting. A girl I was talking to who works in an art shop said that when she was doing a similar course there were a lot of taps and peppers, so I want to stay away from that.

I'm struggling so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much!:)

A good trick I heard about for when you're stuck like this is to go for a walk with your camera and take 100 photos of anything at all that you find remotely interesting. Each time you take a photo you're making a decision, and when you look back on them you should see a pattern emerge. This pattern mightn't include the objects you eventually choose, but should give you a better idea of what they might be. If you don't see a pattern at first, it'll be in there somewhere, it's just a matter of looking - just think how difficult it would be to take 100 random photos with no relationship to each other!

    Hiya,

Yes there is quite a lot on it. You'd want to get your skates on :)

thebaldsoprano - thank you very much for your advice. I'll try that and see what happens!

I got my letter. It just says to bring 3 pencils and an eraser and bring in 20 yoyos. You may have gotten the wrong letter because my friend is doing the normal portfolio course and he has to pick those objects too.

    Hiya,
Sorry for the late reply. Yes you're right. Not only did they gave me the wrong list but they registered me onto the wrong course!!! I got it sorted out in the end albeit with a lack of apology from them:mad:

Patt2000- I didn't need them in the end, thanks!
