    It costs 550 euro.

Basically I bought a laptop, some errors and can now buy a new laptop with 415 euro and anythign else I can add onto it. I don't want to go overboard on the price (I could only afford about 600 at the most).

But I do want to run some newer games, Mass Effect 1/2, Batman: AA, Prototype, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Empire Total War and so on. OH AND DRAGON AGE! I need to play that on a computer, I hate the damn console versions (to anti D&D style for me).

I'd be happy playing in 1024 x 768 and all the settings at lowest but still I'm not sure if it'll cut it or not.

    aw :P

    That's a let down.

Do you have any idea of a semi decent laptop from pcworld that would be around 600 euro?

TBH you are pretty limited with PC world under £600 if you want to do mid-range gaming. Having a glance at the website and the games you want to play, you MAY get away with the Radeon HD 5470 GPU for low setting gamings. The older games will play at mid resolutions, the newer games willl be trail and error. Overclocking may improve it abit.
TBH a 2nd hand laptop with a 4650 + card would perform infinately better, but im guessing that you have PC world store credit.

THis is one of the big reasons why i cant wait for the next generation INtel chips. The intergrated GPUs are going to spell the end of lowend dedicated GPUs such as the 4200 etc which are barely better than intergrated GPUs, yet command premium prices. Within a year it will be possible to buy a low-mid range laptop (sub 600e) that will play HD playback flawlessly and play nearly any game on low-mid settings.

It's not even the credit part that's bothering me; I have a coverplan that's being taken over to a new laptop that I'd love to keep.

    A 5470? I'm talking about 600 euro, not sterling.

Too late and far too pricey. Got a nice one that can for some amazing lucky reason run Batman in low settings with 1024 x 768 :P:D

That, it was marked down to 500 euro. Didn't have the one for I think it was 520 euro I wanted but fu*k me; it has a bigger HD and other than that I can't see any other differences from the other one I was going to get .
Well this came with a bunch of bloatware :P

But yes very happy; it can run Batman AA (the demo at least, gonna wait till I get the full game). Oblivion... meh. It kina ran but I haven't really tweaked the settings. So I assume it will run well.
