I'm just looking for a place in or close to the city that is suitable for practising for the driving test, particularly the reverse around the corner. If this is more suitable for the Learnin to Drive forum, please move it, but I am looking for somewhere in Galway.
I'm just looking for a place in or close to the city that is suitable for practising for the driving test, particularly the reverse around the corner.

Anyone any tips for quiet estates/carparks/industrial estates?

If I were you I would avoid Lurgan Park; there is often a queue of learners waiting to reverse around a corner or practicing their three point turn!! I used to practice up near Rahoon; it's where the test routes are anyway (some)..so areas like Grangemore, Cruachan park, Bothar na Coiste..the estates are a lot quieter. Also, some of the estates near the Westwood (can't remember the name!) are handy and relatively quiet.
