    hey,
have an intellect 9.6v 2000mAH battery and noticed that the black wire linking the two packs together is nearly broken at one end.

Just wondering can i open it up and re solder it or is it bye-bye battery?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Hey son you can re-solder it using silver solder but be very careful of putting too much heat on the battery as you can cause them to explode.......advise extreme caution or if you are any way unsure get someone more qualified to do it.

Sorry to jump in but do you have to use silver solder when soldering batteries? I know it gives better conductivity but is it a necessity? If so it may be why one of my batteries is giving me so much grief :D.

Hey Dred as you say better conductivity and will give a better joint and yes it may well be why you are having problems. Also bear in mind the wire should be in good condition and of good quality to suit its application. Also you need to ensure the connection between battery & AEG connector terminals are tight (by this I mean the metal ones not the plastic push together fittings).
