    Welcome to Galway.

If you want to find a homestay near GMIT, my advice would be to go into the college itself and find the accommodation office. It is likely that they will have a list there.

As for "Bang!", I have not heard of this before but a possible place to check/ask would be Subcity, it's located downstairs in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre/Corbett Court.

I cant help with finding a family Im afraid but if you're into gaming the fantasy and science fiction society at the university you might be interested in contacting the fantasy and science fiction society at NUIG (the university), they are mad into gaming of all sorts. They used to have loads of people that didnt actually attend the college coming to their meetings, i dont know if this changed.

Your best bet is to contact GMIT's Student Union http://www.gmit.ie/Life-at-GMIT/students-union/index.html for a placement in a family - at least they will be able to direct you to the accommodation office which would have a specific list of self catering digs and partial board digs and maybe more for international students.

GMIT has 2 student villages, Glasan (across the road from main campus entrance on Ballybane Road) and also Gleann Na Ri on Dublin Road.

As I live near Gleann Na Ri, I've noticed there's a lot of international students there too.

As for Games, from what I can see GMIT doesn't have a games society but you can always set this up yourself, although I would recommend you take note that GMIT has an International Society so at least you can meet up with other students that are around for the weekends as I recall they organise trips and meet ups over the weekend.

keep an eye on the GMIT section on boards as well for things.

Have a look at NUI Galway's clubs and society's page - I don't know how it works, but they do have a games society there, worth a look http://www.nuigalway.ie/student-life/campus-activities/student-societies.html

    Thanks for your reply.

I live in Gleann na Ri, and many my friend live in Lurgan park. It's a short distance to school.

I want to find a home stay because I want to improve my speaking.

I didn't recieve the message for international students meeting at weekends.

If I want to buy the card game, I neet to contact some society?

    Thx
