Rehearsal Spaces In Galway City

I've recently moved to Galway to attend college, and thus, I left my old bands back home. I'm looking to start up something new though, but would like to do some ground work first. So bassically, I'm wondering if there are any good reheasal spaces around Galway City, and a price-range for them. I'm looking for one that's fully kitted out with amps, drum kit, and a PA system if at all possible.
Any info would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, folks.

    Nice one, man. Cheers.

Now, if I just new some Galway based musicians, I could try and get the ball rolling. Lol.

In addition to the thread Gingganggooley linked to, try the resources thread. There are some other places in Galway listed there.

Tenner an hour is a damn good rate. I was spending fifteen an ahour for a practice room back home. Is it kitted out?

My post on that thread should have the info you need. The only thing is that things may have changed given that it's been well over a year since I last played there.

Cool. It seems like a take-the-good-with-bad kinda place, but from my experience with practice rooms, most places are this way in one form or another. Seems like a solid enough spot spot though, and the prices are great. Cheers for the info, Malice. The phone numbers should come in mighty handy too.
    Thanks again.

No bother. Just watch out if you're bringing a car as the parking can be very awkward.

I don't drive myself, but I'll keep it in mind none the less.

The forge is a pretty good place to practice, some of the gear aint the best but the price is good and the owner is really sound

Most places don't have great gear anyways. As long as it's enough to get by, then I'll be a happy man.

I have a space in the Ballybane industrial estate which I set up a few months back. Myself and my friends use the place and I also rent the place by the hour to any responsible and respectful musicians who get in touch with me.
I'm trying to get the place off the ground to open to the public with the intention of putting all profit back in until there are 2 rooms fully kitted with excellent gear and everybody is happy with the place.
The feedback is positive so far but I have a bit to go yet before taking the plunge as it is still majority self funded.
It is fully equipped with good gear, plenty of parking, and a chill out area with a couch and chairs. Oh and indoor toilets. ;)
I don't want to infringe on the boards rules so just PM me if you want more details.
    Cheers.

Ah, very nice. That's only a few minutes walk from where I'm currently living. Now, keep in mind that I'm still just doing ground work here to see what kinda places are available before I actually assemble a new band, so I won't be placing booking with anybody just yet. I'll defo keep your room in mind though, as it seems mighty convenient.

Thanks, dude. I'll be in touch.
