    Hi folks,

    Any thought on this?

2000 Passat had alternator reconditioned last year.
Same problems happening again (especially in rain).
Is there any point in trying to get it fixed or is it time to say goodbye to the Passat?

    Any opinions welcome.

It's strange it's doing it in the rain more, have you checked all the connections, including the connections to the regulator on it?

Of it's not a bad connection, As poster above said you'll pick up one cheap enough, I'm sure there's plenty of spurious ones out there too...
