I'm just finishing a bathroom makeover at a job and for the second time I have noticed water lying under the kitchen radiator.

3-4 weeks ago I powerflushed the heating system and pressurised it and everythings been fine. In the bathroom makeover the radiator was changed to a towel rad so the pressure was dropped but thats normal for a refilled system to still have some air in it - I could hear it moving around the coil at the tank.

I've only noticed this later lying on the kitchen floor when I've had the heat on twice testing it. It lys around a corner of the radiator so next to a pipe but
the radiator isn't wet anywhere and the valve/gland has been checked and is fine. Also no pin hole in the pipe coming up to it unless its under the floor/at floor level. Its a tiled floor in the kitchen so I can't lift it and the client has took himself off to donegal for a few weeks while I did the bathroom and hall so I can't ask is this normal.

The radiator is under a window so I wondered about condensation but the window/wall is not damp. I've dried up the leak and left the heat on for an hr and nothing appears. Nothing has been spilt and I'm just posting here incase theres something I've missed or not checked. Was also wondering could it be coming from under the skirting board like a damp problem but we are talking a puddle of water here, at least 10" wide or so by about 6" out from the skirting/wall/radiator.

I've been in this house now for 2wks or so and only noticed it when I had the heating on twice - but the pressurise doesnt seem to be dropping so I dont think its really a burst heating pipe although I know if theres a pipehole in the pipework thats pressing against the suspended floor it may weap out and drop slightly just.

I know the mains and hot pipes dont run near that radiator to the sink.

    *shrug*

Confused as to where its come from..

Fixing a leak isn't a problem - finding it is.. hrm!

    Whats the weather been like?

If its a puddle of water, and the pressure isn't dropping and you've closed the filling loop then it doesn't sound like a leak. Water ingress via the window perhaps?

Leaking toilet running accross the floor etc....? drip coming down from the floor above?
