anyone recommend a good independent opticians in south dublin( or maby the city center).

Looking for a certain type of contact lens that im sure specsavers dont stock, so need an optician who knows their contact lens's!

Ideally they would be in the dundrum area, but anywhere around south dublin is fine.

We're friendly with the crew that own The Opticial Shop in Blackrock. My wife has done some work in the past for them and enjoyed her time there. I can't vouch for their prices tho as I don't know.
The owners husband used to own www.getlenses.com so they could possibly have competive prices for contacts too.
Make sure you go in with a valid eyetest prescription (not contact lens prescription) preferably less than a year old if you have one.

If south city centre is an option, then I'd recommend Mary Eustace in Adelaide road. She specialises in contact lens fitting. I was referred to her by by own local optician for that very reason. There's very little that she doesn't know about contact lenses or their fitting.
