I dropped my iPhone 3GS the other day and now the unlock button the volume up button aren't working, I bought the phone second and it's out of warranty. Where would be the best place to get it repaired, I'm living in Limerick. Also would it be difficult to fix as I'm pretty techie and wouldn't mind giving it a go myself it that was an option. Thanks guys.

On Catherine St there's a phone repair shop that will do it, it's where the Nokia shop used to be.

If you want to give it a go yourself I would say go for it, the 3GS isn't terribly hard to open up if you're careful. I've changed a screen on my dad's one pretty handily, not sure about your problems though. Just have a scout about on youtube for a video of someone fixing the buttons.

Thanks for that, but both buttons just started randomly working again tonight, no idea how or why but I'm happy!

While this is here (And since the OP's question has been answered and I'm not the bad kind of thread jacker) does anyone know anywhere in Naas or Newbridge that repairs iPhones? Or, failing that, Dublin?

http://www.gumtree.ie/dublin/53/56510953.html ERC in newbridge do think - they are down the road across from michael murphys (the old golf shop i think), and one of the computer shops on the back street (eyre street) do too.

This crowd are in cellbridge http://www.ipodrepaircentre.ie/
