With all the amazing beers in Germany I cant understand why Ireland imports all the crappy ones.

My favourite beer in Germany in Kostritzer which is a dark lager with a white head. Not too strong and a lovely tasting beer.

I really want to get this delivered online but cant seem to find anywhere which has it and will deliver it to Ireland. If anyone knows where I can get it I would raise a bottle in your honour!!

That's a bit harsh. I've tasted lots of crappy beer in Germany that I've never seen here.

Köstritzer shows up now and again, either in Aldi or in the good beer off licences. Ask in your local beer specialist and they might be able to get some.

I like Spaten, drank it in the TheatreFabrik in Munich in the late 1980s. Tesco seem to have stopped stocking it in the last 6 months and have given us HofBrauHaus lager instead which just isn't the same thing.

Aldi usually have spaten. There's always a pile of it in my local aldi anyway. I quite liked the Hofbrauhaus when I bought a few bottles of it here a few months ago and thought it was vile when I tried it in the actual Hofbrauhaus in Munich last week

Ended up getting it delivered from this place which is based in Leipzig

Just hope now they pack the bottles carefully!!!

Hasseroeder is quite a nice beer if you ever see it on your travels about Germany.

Yeah I like this beer also. Tesco in Jervis St sell it. I think 12 bottles for 20euros
