I'd doubt if you'll get NI signals from an aerial in Sligo. Most of Sligo is covered by UPC (Chorus) cable/MMDS for those channels.

The two other rooms may make do with the 4 Irish channels. (VHF 9, 12, UHF 60, 63).

The RTE's in Sligo come from either Truskmore or the Sligo town relay (Latter all UHF but no TV3 or Digital)

BBC (if available) comes from Brougher (aka "Enniskillen" even though its in Co Tyrone)

Not terribly au fait with local geography/conditions but from what I gather the chances of getting BBC's (terrestrially) around that neck of the woods are usually slim. Freesat is probably the way to go.

Polorisation is Horizontal for Truskmore and Brougher. Google for channel numbers

Along the coast into Easkey - no problem getting them with Aerial
Brougher "Enniskillen" and Strabane and even Black Mountain - Belfast.
As I was into TV-DXing Years ago. I know this for a FACT!!!!

There is a Mayo Community TV deflector between Ballycastle and Killala in North Mayo. If you have a clear shot towards Killala Bay you might pick it up.

    BBC1 is on CH41, BBC2 is on CH48, UTV on CH44 and Channel 4 is on CH51.

Freesat is a much better idea though.
