Burning smell form water pump

    Currently live in an apartment. We have a water pump that has given off a smell that reeks of burnt plastic. Any help or recommendations welcome.

    Shut it off immediatley. Do not use it until you have an electrician or plumber see to it. This may be a fire risk..... I've seen pumps to seize up overheat and go on fire.

    good advice cabledude
    get a sparks to check it out
    also check other electrics out in case(may be immersion)
