    hi ,
I've looked through the various posts but am still confused ..

basically , my wife has an old ipod classic 30gb and all the songs in her ipod are in itunes on my laptop ..

I simply want an exact copy of her ipod ...

if I buy a new or 2nd hand ipod classic etc. what is the SIMPLEST way to make an exact copy ??

I'm a bit worried if I plug in a new ipod , itunes will start deleting tracks or make things difficult ..

also , do I have to buy an ipod , is there any other mp3/mp4 player out there that's compatible with itunes format ? around €120

    thanks for any help .

alternatives to Itunes (the spawn of the devil)

    SharePod

    Copytrans

both these free apps will let you do whatever you want to your iPod unlike that POS iTunes
