Has anyone ever tried going into a Jury's some evening and saying

"Listen, i only have 40euro on me, can you give me a room for the night or i can go elsewhere"

I've heard that mid-week, most hotels are just trying to offset costs and they'll take bartering offers.

I cannot see any sale. You would think they would be crying out to get the rooms filled. Obviously not.

so basically enter the promo code ODS when searching for rates :)

thanks santa - good job :D

edit: the prices are the same with or without the code. And they are ridiculously high.

Booking for say December 6th for 2 nights comes to 88? (PArnell St)

For November 22nd (for 2 nights) comes to the same? (€88 Parnell St.)

Seems like a bargain to me! Though a lot of the next month seems to be booked out already.

Indeed. I checked prices of Jury's Hotel in Nottingham yesterday - £134 for 2 nights.

Today, using the promotional code...£134 for 2 nights!!

Wow! What branch? I tried Parnell St. (the one I normally stay in in Dublin) for Saturday and sunday the 13th-15th November and comes to €119 per night! :O Definitely not promotional there! Seems to be on other (non-weekend) dates though - a case of selective promotion (and thus sort of misleading) or maybe due to demand?

Yup, well I dunno if it was specifically Jurys, but my Dad always rings hotels in advance when he needs to stay for a night and always gets them for real low prices! (He can be a bit of a wheeler dealer though :))
A buddy got a bunch of rooms in Jurys for half price when he said there'll be x amount staying cos it's a stag!

That 20% offer was built in - was there when I booked 4 weeks ago! very hit and miss offer I must say, seemed to be luck of draw. Sorry for those disappointed, I posted this ba with best intentions!
