Good, I'd like to see the boot put into lazy people on the dole, and the public & private sectors.

No room for spongers these days, dump the dead weight and lighten the load.

clearly its the solution. no more unemployment, no more welfare spongers even more vacant housing to bring down values. I reckon leaving about 53 people would be enough to keep the country going ok.

Although, yes there lazy people everywhere, from having worked in a public service office, they hire about 50 people to do the work a private company would hire 5 for. Resulting in most having nothing to do and so just sit there and natter or read from 9-5 or 10-4 on their flexitime.

And Makikomi, what is up with your avatar? Ya have me worried and I was a blonde kid just so you know!

That's my (and other contractors) experience from working in one particular public service office. Maybe it is exagerated as I have only worked in the one but it was grossly over staffed.

I don't know if I'm imagining it but I have a vague recollection of him talking about his past views. I think the tat is real, just really old!

Should we change this to Mak's avatar discussion thread?

I know from Mak's post he is a smart and very decent guy and if the tat is part of his past and he wants it in his avatar then it's his right, but most people won't know Mak too well and, especially as a mod, it sends out a very scary signal about who you may actually be talking to on here.
