Opting out of Google Street View?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know if it's possible to opt out of Google Street View which launched in Ireland today? In Germany it is possible: http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,691229,00.html.
    I would like to opt out of it, that is remove any images of my property, on privacy grounds. While there is little on the site that a passer-by cannot see, it enables anyone on the internet to be a "passer-by" and that is the aspect of it with which I have a problem. Anyway, whether you agree or not, I think I should have the option to be included or not just like the German citizens have. Anyone know what the situation is? I have reported some images on the site already, just got the standard reply.
