    That I can't tell you. I've never owned one of them. I do own a Yukon Digital Ranger, pretty good in the right circumstances, it's comparable in performance to the Yukon Exelon, I believe one of those is/was on the for sale section lately.

    With cheaper NV, which the Aldi one definitely is, a lot will depend on what extra illumination you can give it. Like adding an IR filter to a Lightforce lamp. Also, moisture in the air affects performance of NV units, which will work better the clearer the air is.

    Worst piece of sheite I ever used, can focus (after 30 seconds or so) on an object 25yards in front of you!!

    The grá is definitely gone from people around Galway for these units. There is a large number of them in Aldi on the Headford road today.
