Still not enough to scratch what they want to get done. It's much better than nothing though

Yes they did. Just might not have been all they wanted.

I imagine that considering the times were are in financially, they are happy enough.

I read through the budget very briefly on the NASA site, I doubt they would ever get that much :)

Heres the link if you fancy a gander :)

They should scrap the ISS its just wasting money, they know what to expect in space now. I say get on with going to the moon, mars and beyond.

Ah come on now! Sure it's only been finished recently. 100 billion euro, there'll be some great research there over the next decade. The real money grapper was the space shuttle program, and thats cut now so they can get on with developing some BEO tech.
    Delighted it's great news.
Over the last months, the space field has witnessed one of the most brutal and hard fought battles in its history. In the space equivalent of a guerrilla war, those trying to change this nation's program into an effective and frontier opening enterprise have been fighting almost cubicle by cubicle -- and vote by vote -- to stop those in the space establishment more interested in looking busy while feeding on your tax dollars from killing the dream of opening space.
