carrying child in front seat of van

    hi,just got a little nissan sunny 1.7 van,is it legal to carry child with booster seat in the front seat,

    If its taxed commercially no, if private yes.

    I cant think of a commercial reason to have a child in a van. I assume thats the reason

    Before the lads tie you up in knots with the ins and outs of commerical vs private vans, as long as your insurance covers you, then yes, you can. Check with your insurance company to see if your policy excludes Social, Domestic and Pleasure usage of the van.

    AFAIK, there's nothing in the Road Traffic Act that says you can't carry a child in a van. I've have to carry a childseat in the front of the caddy on occasion.
