I'm a final year Arts student in UCC, and I'm thinking og heading to Taiwan to teach English for a year. I'm going to get the TEFL sorted, and have decided on Taiwan as it seems like a pretty cool country in Asia! Just wondering if anyone has done the same, any tips, travel advice, living conditions, what to watch out for? Thanks!

    Hey,

Great to see you're looking at teaching in Taiwan. To get an idea of what teaching out there is like and to talk to people who are actually out there teaching at the minute you may want to take a look at:

    http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/groups/12-Taiwan

They will be able to give you help and advice on travelling and what you should expect out there.

    Hope this helps!
