Skin Problems

    Hi.

Anyone know how I can prevent whiteheads after shaving? Every time I have a wet shave, I'm pretty much guaranteed to get a rash of whiteheads a day and a half to two days later. Tiny little ones, but lots of them. When I wet shave I use a mach 3. I've tried using a fresh blade every time but that makes no difference. I normally use an electric about once a week, both because it's better for my skin and because I like the stubble. Still though, it'd be nice if I could wet shave without getting the infected-face look. I had a wet shave for the first time in about 6 months last week and the problem is still there as much as ever.

    Anyone else get this problem??

    DR

How do you prepare for your shave and do you have a post shave routine?

Both make all the different, try some stimulant before hand to open up the pores a bit more - something like proraso.

And pst shave ensure to splash your face with cold water and use some after shave balm. You can also use proraso for this.

Do you shave with or against the grain or both?

Spend 1 min rubbing moisturiser into face and neck, then soak a facecloth in the hottest water that your skin can stand, wring it and hold it tightly to ur skin till it cools off.Do the facecloth bit a few times then stick on your shaving foam and off you go.

Thanks I'll try that. I normally just get out of the shower, splash a bit of hot water on and put the foam gel on. Loreal for men moisturiser afterwards.

Would a safety razor make much of a difference?
