is the d.o.e test pretty much the same as the nct?? eg you book it in somewhere (i know there are a lot more d.o.e test centers than nct and you contact the d.o.e center directly) they test it and either fail or pass it? if it fails dose it be fully tested again or is it the same as the nct? also if it fails will they let you drive it away??
any info would be great. need to get a carvan tested soon
    thanks

It's pretty much the same as the NCT. You'll get a print out of anything it fails on, you can drive away and you've got 21 days to bring it back or you'll have to pay for another test. Again it's the same as NCT in that they just check any parts that had previously failed. If you have to bring it back ask can you turn up on spec or have to book in again. The test is a bit dearer than the NCT though, it's around the €86 mark.
