Hi, my immobilizer is giving me problems. That day I dropped my key and taught nothing of it until my car would not start. There is a hole in the key that not sure if something was in it before but all pictures show there is something in there for other peoples keys. The part in red, would this be the part for the immobilizer or is it anything important?

What make car is the key for? Thought it was a Ford of some type, but there is no channel in any of the Ford keys I can find.

Does look familiar, but can't quite figure it out.

Yea its a skoda key, would you be able to tell us what part of the chip is the key then? Is it a little black chip on the underside of the circuit circuit board in the head of the key?

ouch!! thats going to be expensive!! you will more than likely have to go to your skoda dealer or a very good locksmith to get a replacement chip. if i was you i would be on my hands and knees where you dropped the key looking for that chip!!
no offence but anyone that has only one key for a car with an imobilizer is very foolish. when i bought the leon it came with only 1 key and the first thing i did was get a second key and chip programed. i bought a flip key off ebay with a blank blade and chip (chip can only be programed to one car so a used one is usless) for about 30euro and got it cut and programed in the locksmiths for 80. dealer is over 300 afaik.
try asking on vagdrivers.net, briskoda.net and ukmkivs.net you might get more info there!
    im guessing its an octavia??

Yea its an Octavia. I actually called someone the day before to drop out to them the day after to get a new key but this happened the same day I called them. :( I've already searched my house for anything that could be it.

Is the range of the immobiliser chip only a few inches? Just curious.

ya maybe an inch at the most! with the flip key if it bends down the car cuts out!
