    (New thread started)

I've never heard of one day insurance. Have you tried asking any of the companys?

I'm guessing for a car test. Some places rent out a car to you, insurance included. Otherwise, if it's for sale, then a flatbed truck to it's destination may work for you.

Yes theres only a small few that do it but the bigger insurance companies won't say who it is that does it

Never heard of a stand alone 1 day insurance product. The only real way to achieve cover is to add to, or substitute on to, an existing policy for the day

You could get a few lessons from a school/instructor and then use their car.

If its a friends car or family members car you coud get put on the policy for 1 month(i think thats the minimum) my brother did that for his test and it didnt cost much, a little over €100 euro i think

Easiest thing to do is to use a school of motoring car.

One day insurance on what? Is its a car you own and is currently garaged, or is it on a parents/partners/friends car or something?

I agree, its a lot easier to use the driving school car.

    .

...and of course if the car doesn't have a current insurance disk the driving tester may well refuse to go out in the car, so no test.
