Can anyone tell me where I can find someone that is interested in writing travel articles for a tourist web site? Where's a good place to look and what rates should I expect to pay per article with about 700 words?

Would you be funding trips to places for the writer to cover or just asking people who had been to particular places to write about them?

It's an Irish site so they would be writing about Ireland. Hopefully someone that has travelled Ireland a bit and could write about, how to get here, what to do, where to stay, where to eat, events, sights, culture etc Not in a position to pay for anyones holiday at the moment!

My husband is a journalist and for an article of around 700 words, I think 70 euro would be a baseline rate. You might get better answers over in the media forum to be honest.

You can also put an ad on adverts, which usually works.

Do ensure you state the terms and conditions (i.e. who owns copyright, can the copy be reproduced etc) and what rate you are willing to pay.

You could maybe have a look about the web for travel blogs (ballofdirt or similar) and see if there are any whose stlye you like and try contact the writer with a view to doing something professionally?
