Just discovered yesterday, to my cost, that they've changed the rules regarding the reprint cut-off time. You can now only reprint your boarding pass up to 4 hours before the flight, instead of the 40 minutes previously. I'd lost mine and had to pay the fee, so I did a search now to see what their rules actually state and found it on their website. Not sure when this changed, but the cut-off was defnitely 40 minutes before.

I HAVE FORGOTTEN/LOST MY ONLINE BOARDING PASSES?

Passengers who have lost/forgotten their printed online boarding passes will be required to pay a Boarding Card Re-Issue Penalty in order to receive a new boarding pass at the airport. This facility is available up to 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure. Click here for fee information

Passengers can check-in online for both or one of their flights from 15 days prior up to 4 hours before the scheduled times of flight departure. Please note - Online check-in closes 4 hours prior to flight departure.

Once a passenger has checked in online the boarding pass can be reprinted up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. Click here to reprint your boarding pass

well in my opinion and my experience, since the concept of online check in and reprinting came out, its always been 4 hours. ive only needed to reprint once, that was about 18 months ago and it was inside the 4 hours, so i couldnt reprint it. didnt matter anyway, as i was checking in a bag for that particular flight.

anyway, i dont know why anybody doesnt save the file locally as a pdf . this means you can reprint it whenever you want, as long as you have access to a printer.

    It's always been 4 hours.

It's always been 4 hours and it clearly states this on the original confirmation email and on every one of the THREE reminder emails they send you reminding you to check in. The only people who get burned by Ryanair's charges are those that don't read the terms and conditions.

carlovian is correct, reprinting your boarding pass was 40 minutes before. Checking in online was always 4 hoursa and you needed to have checked in online to have a reprint.

It looks like it was changed between 6 June and 20 July as I had flights and I have the emails
    Check-In for your Flight Now

Please ignore this email if you have already checked in online and printed your boarding pass.

Ryanair’s online check-in service is available from 15 days up to 4 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure time(s). If both your outbound and return flights are within the 15 day period, at the time you check-in online then both boarding passes can be printed simultaneously. Once you have checked in online the boarding pass can be reprinted up to 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time

If you do not check-in online you will be required to pay the relevant fee to re-issue your boarding card at the airport.(Euro 40/ GBP 40), This facility is available up to 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure

The underlined section is missing from the July email

If you save the boarding card on your computer, you can print it whenever you like.....
