Insurance Price Query

I got insured last year around feburary on a provisonal license and it cost me around 600 pounds with quinn (im up the north). I passed my test 4 months later and updated my insurance and because I had a full license I had to pay another 190 pounds to update the policy. My insurance is not due until feburary but I just checked quinn just to check how much it was going to be. They quoted 2500 for third party fire and theft and 1 years no claims bonus but this year I got fully comp without no claims bonus for 790. I have no convictions or claims so how has this changed so much? I have also checked one of the price comparasion sites and they are all around 1500. How can the price of my insurance be doubled? Btw Im 26 and driving a 1lt yaris so even 1500 seems very dear

    Sounds very strange.
Still, check out the companys directly and also many brokers. Search the forum for many links.

That doesn't sound right. Some insurers will give you a refund when you pass your test mid term, others insist you wait until renewal date. I never heard of MORE being charged mid term when the risk improves. Did you change car or something else at the same time?

Wouldn't Quinn be the obvious people to ask about this?
